Ray Mears in Sweden

An hour well spent watching a screen, I think.
The man's an icon to me. He jumpstarted my journey "out there"... And Lars Fält belongs in that same category.

  1. I like Ray's way of presenting the subject. He is calm and subtle. At the same time theres an enthusiasm lurking in his voice that tells you he really loves what he is doing.
I loved watching his series about Canada and Hudson Bay Company.

  2. And that's why I like him too. No loud mouth or over the top Hollywood show.
He is indeed calm and gentle, but at the same time radiates the passion.

  3. This is one of my favorite episodes! I went to far as to get my hands on one of those hand forged blades from Julius Pettersson. Watching Ray, you just know that this is the real deal, talking about his passions. He obviously is a bit of a scholar and anthropologist as well as a top notch woodsman.

  4. I really like this episode too. The section featuring Julius Pettersson, and also Ray making the handles, motivated me to take up smithing blades and making Scandinavian style knives and sheaths.
